Generic Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) COVID19 BEST REULTS
Hydroxychloroquine has been prescribed for 70 years with malaria and rheumatoid arthritis. Its commercial name is Plaquenil. For the treatment of COVID-19, Plaquenil recommends the well-known French infectious diseases doctor, head of the Mediterranean Institute of Infectious Diseases in Marseille, Didier Rault. He conducted a small clinical study involving 36 patients with COVID-19 (some dropped out for various reasons). In patients taking Plaquenil, the viral load significantly decreased on the sixth day. The antiviral effect was enhanced when taking Plaquenil along with the antibiotic azithromycin. Professor Rault also refers to the Chinese experience.
It is noted that previously hydroxychloroquine has already shown good results in severe clinical forms of Covid-19. But in combination with the antibiotic azithromycin, patients recovered 6 days after taking it.
Moreover, among those taking exclusively hydroxychloroquine, the indicator was 57.1%. And among those who did not take a single medicine, only 12.5% got rid of the virus in the same period.
Efficiency is associated with low resistance of azithromycin, which creates an unfavorable environment for the existence of the virus. The drug is already available, but the study requires additional checks. Other drugs and their combinations also have prospects.
